The Amy Winehouse Foundation has welcomed The Lewis Project to refer certain members to audition for their 3 month program with helps young talented musicians into the music industry.
Two of our members were successful and completed their program this month. They showcased their own songs along with 14 other young musicians at the Forge in Camden, the atmosphere was electric with Amy’s mother taking the stage to give last years group their certificates which is recognised within the music industry. Our boys, James Mason and Jack Elliott came on stage with such confidence and each sung their own song, it was truly wonderful to see. We know they will accomplish their dreams of working within the industry, such talent needs to be seen! In November 2016 we saw two more of our members completing Amy's yard program, Tom Wiles and Remy Ryszkowski. Well done boys! We would like to thank Blues Musician Paul Cook, for volunteering his time and expertise recording our amazing musicians renditions and new material.
Watch this space for new developments with TLP very own CD!!!! :) ![]() Amy’s Yard One of the Amy Winehouse Foundations’ main areas of focus is ‘to support the personal development of disadvantaged young people through music’. Since the Foundation began we have met countless young people with immense talent who are simply held back by not being able to access professional studio time due to the costs and lack of provision. The Foundation therefore decided to develop Amy’s very own studio and share it with some of the young people from the partner organisations we work with. We are very proud to have 2 of our members Jack Elliott and James Mason on the Amy’s yard program. Well Done guys! Graduating in June!!
